DADC RECEIVES HIGHEST CARF ACCREDITATION!

Dorchester Alcohol & Drug Commission is extremely proud to announce that it has recently been issued its 10th consecutive 3-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF). Not only did it achieve this high mark, it did so with zero recommendations. This rare accomplishment is achieved by only 3% of all CARF accreditation surveys performed world-wide! Two of the past three accreditation surveys for DADC have resulted in this highest accomplishment!

The following programs / services were accredited:

• Court Treatment: Substance Use Disorders/Addiction (Adults)
• Intensive Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Adults)
• Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Adults)
• Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: SUD/Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)
• Prevention: Substance Use Disorders/Addiction (Adults)
• Prevention: Substance Use Disorder/Addiction (Children and Adolescents)

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
